And dailydishstudio is my little corner of the internet!
I launched dailydishstudio in the spring of 2016 while I was still crunching numbers as a corporate accountant in Charlotte. A late‑night experiment with a simple tomato‑basil pasta turned into a habit of sharing quick, everyday meals on a modest WordPress blog. By the end of 2017 I had posted 30 recipes, and the site’s traffic quietly crossed the 5,000‑visits‑per‑month mark.
Fast forward to today, and dailydishstudio feels like a small kitchen community. In March 2022 I released my first e‑cookbook, “Weeknight Wins,” which sold over 4,200 copies in its first year. A second collection, “Seasonal Sides,” launched in September 2024 and is already at 1,800 copies sold. The blog now averages 120,000 unique visitors each month, and I publish new recipes twice a week—most of them under 30 minutes and under 500 calories. I’ve also added a monthly “Ingredient Spotlight” video series that currently has 18,000 subscribers on YouTube.
I live in Asheville, North Carolina, with my husband Mark and our two kids, Lily (8) and Noah (5). When I’m not stirring a pot, you’ll find me hiking the Blue Ridge trails, listening to classic jazz on my porch, or perfecting a sourdough starter that’s now in its 12th generation. My favorite kitchen tools are a heavy‑cast iron skillet, a Japanese mandoline, and a trusty wooden spoon that’s been with me since college.
A little quirk about me: I keep a tiny notebook titled “Midnight Munchies” where I jot down the weird cravings that strike after 2 a.m. Some of those notes have turned into the most popular recipes on the site—like the avocado‑lime toast that hit 25,000 views in a single week. I love that something as simple as a notebook can spark ideas that feed thousands of people.
